The Avant Toi brand was founded in 1994 by Fiorella and Mirko Ghignone within Liapull, the family knitwear company established in Genoa in 1955. Today, the company has reached its third generation, combining more than seventy years of expertise in fine knitwear with continuous experimentation and innovation.
Under the creative direction of Mirko Ghignone, precious materials such as cashmere, silk and fine yarns become the canvas for hand-painting, airbrush colouring, action-painting and experimental treatments. Each garment is individually painted by hand, creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. This fusion of Italian craftsmanship and quality, technical research and artistic expression has become the distinctive signature of Avant Toi, to redefine knitwear history.
